Vacation Bible School : Scuba - Wednesday Nights: June 26th - August 28th, 2024
Scuba stands for: Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus. The children learned that Jaques Cousteau invented this device and was improved by Dr. Christian Lambertsen.
They also learned: Five Bible points about God being a friend who's real, who loves, who we can trust and that He is a friend forever and for everyone. In Scuba Bible Adventure Station the children were taught 5 Bible stories to emphasize God's friendship with us. They also experienced God's friendship with hands on learning int he Imagination Station, Ocean Craft Station, at Reef Rec Games, and also during snack in the Mess Deck. Five Bible Buddies helped children to remeber each Bible point as week as Scripture verses.
Average weekly attendance was 35 plus 25 volunteers.
Church Picnic:
Our Annual Church Picnic was held on Saturday, August 3rd at Attwood Park in Wayne. It was a beautiful day for a Picnic! Families arrived at different times throughout the day and enjoyed hot French fries from Pastor's fryer, meat grilled at the park by Tim Kujat, Snow Cones and popcorn served by Pat & Kelly Borda, and side dishes from the shared serving table.
Games and crafts were also available for children. It was a really nice day for fellowship and....Lots of good food!
Family Fun Night '24 - October 31st
Activities were all held indoors except for the petting farm and pony rides due to the higher winds. The biggest attraction was our new indoor game, Galactic Blast. Attendance was lower than previous years, however, the response to the altar call was about 30 people. Bikes and prizes were given away and candy distributed.
